About “Boots on the Ground”
“The band was formed in 2012 because of our love for playing and wanting to carry on the tradition of bluegrass music. We have been honored to share that love of bluegrass music at many festivals, music venues and churches in East Tennessee. We also have gotten to play at many Crooked Road events, parades and churches in SW Virginia.
Although young, the band brings a wealth of knowledge and experience playing traditional bluegrass and bluegrass gospel music. Band members have won top awards for their playing and have gotten to play with some of the top musicians in bluegrass music today.
